Vorena arches an eyebrow as Cloud enters, watching him out of the corner of his eye. He glances at Avalon; when he doesn't get any comment from him on the newcomer, he answers. "I'm really not sure, brother. My aura is as strong as ever, as I assume yours is."
Ayn seems confused by Lara's question. She shrugs and starts rummaging through the cabinets in the kitchen. "Headache." |

"Oh, your head hurts?" Lara begins looking through the kitchen, searching for any pills Gale left behind.

Gin also looks at Cloud. He was upset with him earlier, but he wasn't gonna let that get in the way. He motions to Cloud. "Come here, Mr. Strife. I want you to meet someone."

Cloud opens his eyes and lowers the bottle from his mouth. He gets up and walks casually up to the two. The new man reminded him of a fallen friend, but he certainly didn't want to think about that right now. His tone lacks respect, and lacks even more character. "You must be someone new and important too then. Well, I'm Cloud Strife." He looks to Avalon inquisitivley. His thoughts: 'Why is it that you want me to meet him? I should be staying out of these affairs...'

Vorena studies Cloud for a moment before standing. He loomed over Cloud slightly, being a little over six feet, although he means no intimidation. Doesn't seem like the hothead would feel that sort of emotion anyway. "Strife, hm? It's a pleasure." He holds out his hand. "My name is Gin Vorena, or the aura of Gin that represents the good. I imagine that you are here because you know my daughter."

Cloud chokes a bit at the sound of 'daughter'. He grasps his hand firmly with his gloved hand and looks up at Vorena, staring into his eyes. Cloud's own were strange from his body being flooded with mako, but Vorena's were very intriguing. "I'm here because my bike is broken, and I don't seem to know of any tires in a castle. Lara shut me out, saying I'd be too harmful to Ayn..." He grows aggrivated at the thought. "Even though I was the one to save her life." Cloud enjoys pointing out his good points, but he also wanted recognition for his acts from someone other than Avalon. Lara's words hit him coldly before, and he wanted to be sure he was doing the right thing by staying with her here.

After some searching, Lara opens a cabinet and shrieks when an abundance of medicine bottles flood down on her. "...Just like a man." Lara sighs and begins looking for anything of use.

Ayn watches Lara search with growing curiosity, and has a seat at the table. She rubs her eyes and mutters something to herself in Abbissian.
Vorena arches an eyebrow, staring quizzically into Cloud's eyes. "Harmful? I doubt Lara claims this without reason. What is this reason?" He crosses his arms, waiting patiently for an answer. |

Gin gives Cloud a small smile. "I just want you to meet the father of the girl you like. Excuse my manner from earlier, I was tense." He looks at Vorena. "Lara, as much as I like her, sometimes says the wrong things. She was only trying to protect Ayn, and I respect her for it. But I told her it's best she stay out of Ayn's and Cloud's business."

Cloud shoots his eyes at Gin. "What the fu-" "Thats right, how nice. Now I can't think to myself anymore... Well at least you're understanding. I apologize for how I was earlier as well." Cloud steps back a bit and thinks about how he said 'Cloud and Ayn's business'. Cloud began to think absent mindedly. He was desperatley hoping that her father wouldn't take that the wrong way... then again he could probably read his mind right now. Why bother with hope. Damn Abbis... damn it again.

Vorena eyes Cloud critically for a minute. He then glances back to Avalon, then runs a hand through his hair. "I see. I am afraid I won't be able to get in between you two, if that's what my daughter wants. However, I would like to test you and your character." He holds out a palm, which begins to glow with a pulsating white light.
Ayn takes the pills and pops them in her mouth, then takes a large mouthful of water, swallowing the pills down. She takes a deep breath. "Thanks." |

Cloud stares wide eyed a bit. Then grows determined. If he had to prove he was worthy to Ayn's father, then by God he would. "Sounds fun." He jumps back and takes an orb from his left sleeve; his only sleeve. He holds a flat palm out to Vorena and the green orb shoots at the Abbis's palm, exploding with a blinding flash of Ultima as it nearly touches his hand. Cloud then unsheathes his Buster Sword and dove at Vorena, ready for a Braver.

Gin smiles as chairs and tables move out of the way, making room for the two combatants. Then Gin himself, moves back.

Vorena smirks, and sidesteps to the side so quickly it's as if he is a blur. He floats into the air now that he's a distance from Cloud and sends the small blasts of white energy at Cloud's chest at an alarming rate.

Cloud quickly turns his sword with the flat side in front of him, the energy hitting the sword and pushing Cloud down and back at great speed. He hits the ground with a thud and jumps to his feet, staring at the Abbis in the air. "So Avalon, is this customary to you pshycos?" Cloud pulses a yellow aura and jumps into the air, swiping in Gin's direction as eight large spheres of energy rain down on him.

Gin laughs out loud, so that the others hear him. "Strife, you make me laugh. Anyway, I wouldn't know. Remember, according to you, I've never been much of a father." He smirks.

Vorena lands and thrusts his hands high into the air, creating a white barrier surrounding him. The blasts deflect off the barrier and sail upwards towards the ceiling where they fizzle into nothing.
Once the barrier's disappeared he extends his arm and a large sword made entirely from energy forms in his hand. He flies in the air again and lunges toward him at a blinding pace and slashes. |

The sword crashes into Cloud's own and he is surprisingly pushed back. He desperatley tries to think of a way to turn the fight when the sword glows a strong aura of green and Cloud pushes Vorena away. He begins attacking mdaly, powered with Omnislash. "Well since you're having such a friggin good time get everyone else in here so they can see my attempts to defeat you. I'm sure you'll have quite the laugh ya ass."

He crosses his arms. "Do not think too highly of yourself. If you cannot defeat Vorena, you cannot defeat me."

Vorena snarls and shoots upwards, towards the ceiling. His expression is one of displeasure. "Do not let your emotions control how you fight me, Strife." He drifts down to the ground, landing with his arms crossed. "Fighting with emotions ended in the death of both of my sons. What makes you think that you will be any different? You will only cause Ayn more pain."

Cloud lowers his word and sighs, the green dimming lightly. "That may be, but I am not like you Abbis. I am a Human, and my emotions are the only things that can drive me to fight. I've lost many things fighting and was once like Gale, seeking compensation for my losses through others lives. I've learned there are never enough lives to be taken to compensate for the loss of a loved one, so there is no way in Heaven or Earth that I'd cause Ayn more pain." He adjusts his pauldron and looks up at Vorena. "We aren't finished fighting are we?"

Vorena still doesn't seem very pleased, and he hops up into the air, his sword of energy raised. He hovers in the air, his stare boring into Cloud's eyes. "Your move, Strife."

Cloud jumps into the air and the sword glows a strong green again, empowering his blows. "Now he's just toying with me. He knows I can't fly.."

Vorena deflects the blows with his own sword, then pushes Cloud back towards the wall, then pulls his other hand back. Five sharp energy blades emerge from his fingertips and he throws them at Cloud like throwing knives. The blades of energy miss flesh, but rather pierce through Cloud's clothing and thunks in the wall in an attempt to pin him.

Cloud's eyes grow huge and he rolls out of the way and into the way of one of the blades accidently. The knife pierces his rib and he rips it out, enraged with himself for making such a foolish mistake. He then points his robotic left arm at Vorena and his hand flips down, sending an enormous blue energy wave directly at him from the arm, with enough force to easily blow a hole through the roof of the castle.

Vorena flies out of the way of the blunt of the blast, however he lets some of it graze his shoulder. The rest of the blast barrels right through the wall and off over the forest surrounding the castle. He rubs his shoulder, which is bleeding profusely. "Let us hope that blast didn't hit a nearby village, Strife." He floats to the floor and starts to tend to his wound.

Gin stands, a little surprised at seeing Cloud having hit Vorena. But then smiles. "Good job, Strife. Though I doubt it would look too good killing the father of the girl you admire."

With complete silence, Kyushin's familiar robed figure lands on the windowsill where Legion was given an exit, though he's almost a silhouette against the light pouring in the opening. Through the jagged break in the glass, his glowing red eyes can be seen peering inside, almost disinterestedly.

Cloud gives him a smug look and flip his hand up, tightening the fist and releasing. He sheathed his sword and walked back to where he was once sitting. He downs the rest of the vodka, setting it back on the floor next to the chair. "Be glad that thing didn't ht you, Vorena." Cloud stands and bites his lip, wich was bleeding. He unstrapped the sword and sheath from his back and leaned it against the wall, walking into the kitchen, holding his arm and snatching the bottle of asprin from Lara, wolfing down many asprin. He then goes down to the basement and sits, contemplating what Vorena had said about him earlier.

Vorena sits, a venemous scowl painted on his face. "I don't trust the boy, brother. He only seems concerned with his own emotions, and not Ayn's." He wraps up his shoulder and leans back in his chair. "Do you sense another presence in this room?"

Gin smiles at Cloud's comment about Vorena being lucky. "It's true, he's a cocky kid. But I think he is honest in his feelings for Ayn. However, we should just let Ayn decide for herself." He clears his throat, and continues standing. "I do sense someone else here, but it's not the demon, no, it's a new aura." He lets his senses guide him, leading him to the window, he doesn't make any movements towards the window, only stares out.

Vorena watches Avalon approach the window, but doesn't make any movement to get up and follow.
Ayn gets up and wanders into the library again, plopping down on the couch. She hugs her knees and watches the two Gins. |

Lara follows Ayn into to library and sits next to her. She seemed diffrent, more...timid. It was worrying her.

Kyushin's gaze snaps onto Gin and blinks, apparently interested that the stranger was able to notice him.

Kyushin cocks his head quizzically at Gin. "Kyushin." Disinterested in further introduction, he leaps through the hole in the glass window and stands in front of Gin, arms crossed in his robe. "Where is Ayn?"

He looks at Kyushin, then to Vorena, thinking this is a joke. He turns back to Kyushin. "You think I'll just let you get to her? I don't even know you."
